In 2018, the World Puzzle Society officially recognized the "Wisdom Ball", which had represented the Republic of China at the German World Invention Exhibition, winning a world gold medal. The Wisdom Ball was deemed to surpass the world's most advanced Rubik’s Cube in intelligence, featuring an astonishing 48 to the power of 96 variations and a constructive mathematical principle of "simplicity within complexity, and complexity within simplicity." This has established it as one of the most intellectually challenging puzzle games in the world.

As Taiwan successfully controlled the pandemic, many large-scale events have gradually resumed. On October 12, Taichung City Councilors Zhang Yantong (Central and Western District), Zhang Liao Nailun (Xitun District), and Luo Tingwei (Southeast District, also the current chairman of the Coding Alliance Taichung Branch), along with Wisdom Ball inventor Chairman Yang Ruxun, held a press conference at Taichung City Government, officially launching the first-ever National Wisdom Cup Wisdom Ball Competition, scheduled for December 19.

In addition, several city councilors and Wisdom Ball inventor Yang Ju Hsun jointly donated Wisdom Ball educational kits to 25 elementary and junior high schools in Central, Western, and Southeast Taichung. This three-dimensional combinatorial thinking tool aims to promote computational logic training through play-based learning, enabling parent-child interactions and multiplayer games.

This follows an earlier Children’s Day donation, where 20,000 "Wisdom Paper " educational gifts were distributed to students across the Central, Western, and Southeast Districts of Taichung. Once again, they have generously contributed to education and youth development.
